Day 15~The Risk of Grace

And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour? I die every day—I mean that, brothers—just as surely as I glory over you in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:30-31

Obeying Jesus requires risk. It doesn't suggest risk or kindly ask for risk. No, being a sold-out follower of Jesus Christ requires risk. But then again, a good adventure requires risk, like rock climbing or bungee jumping. It is so easy to get comfy where we are, but we cannot become stagnant Christians. Jesus wants us to be steaming hot! Never lukewarm and never cold! God will shape us into who He wants us to be...be prepared for the adventure of a new direction, a new purpose, and a new identity in Jesus.

With risks follow pain. I like to think of it as "beauty from pain". After you have been stretched you will be more flexible and more prepared for God's plans for your life. Just hang it there! God will give you the strength that you need. All you have to do is ask.
