Disciple Now Weekend

This weekend my youth group had a Disciple Now Weekend! It was an amazing time of leadership training and friendship building with the girls in my youth group. The 11th and 12th grade girls stayed at the Phipps house and we had a blast hanging out together, swimming, eating way too many oreos, staying up late, and growing closer to Jesus. Our small group leader, Katie, is a senior at the University of Central Florida where she is majoring in English! We focused again on the 1440 principle: we have 1,440 minutes in a single, given day. How are we spending those moments for Jesus Christ? This weekend the seniors realized that our time on our high school campuses is running out--the 1440 Principle truly hit home with us. How are we going to change our schools this year for Jesus Christ? Well, now I know that I have thirteen girls who will hold me accountable for my 1,440 minutes in a day and I am so excited about that! This was an amazing way to close out the summer!
