daddy was a preacher....

Several weeks ago, my sister and I met the popular Christian music group Need to Breathe at a concert. They are an amazing group and Katie and I enjoyed getting to know them a little bit. Before the concert we had the privilege of being a part of the group's devotional time and then asked Bear (the lead singer) about their song "Washed By the Water."



Bear and Bo (another band member) are brothers and sons of a pastor. While they were growing up, their family went through some difficult days in trusting God. Well, Katie and I just looked at each other and smiled. We had so much in common with these two brothers who we had just met. God used their song, which they originally thought really only pertained to them, truly encouraged Katie and I to keep our eyes on Jesus Christ alone.

God is doing amazing things in Ocala. My family is starting a church here to take Jesus as He is to people as they are, becoming the permanent solution to the pain of sin. Yes there have been struggles, and there will be. But that is what being a Christ follower if all about.
