and the rest is still unwritten...

life is a mystery. life is a novel with the end ripped out. the end is still unwritten.

It is so easy to rush through life--through the ins and outs of daily activities--and miss living all together. Does that make sense? By simply walking through life, you miss really living. Sometimes it is so hard to grasp that our lives really are like a book....with the end ripped out. I don't like stories without endings! I want to know what happens. I want to know what happens in my life too--and I want it to have a perfect "happily ever after" ending.

God's plan for our lives is not for us to live for the ending of the story. God wants us to live in today.....the chapter that he has us in right now at this very moment. For me, He wants me to live in my last few weeks of high school. Really live in them, not walk through them. He wants me to live my life imperfectly. Yep, you read what I just wrote correctly! Imperfectly! I will never and can never be perfect in any way, shape, or form! I make mistakes 24/7! That doesn't mean that I won't do my best at what God gives me to do. It simply means that I will not focus on perfection because I can never be perfect!

God does not call us to live perfect lives. He calls us to live today. Really live--not walk through life. So whether you are at school, the beach, work, the gym, on vacation, or sick live today as if it were your last day to really live. Love unconditionally. Live unashamedly. Radiate Jesus' love fully. Do ordinary things extraordinarily. Sit at Jesus' feet. Be a servant. Practice patience. Forgive. Share. Choose to live.

I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way.
