What's New With Me

The past few days have been somewhat of a whirlwind! This was my first week back to school after the break and in the midst of homework and preparing for exams I have been packing my room for the moving truck next week. My head is pounding with everything I have going on, but in the middle of this crazy week, God has given me some great nuggets of truth.

  • He has reminded me of His infinite love for me--His love will never end and I can never do anything to make Him love me more or less. That makes me feel SO much better!

  • I don't need to worry about life or stress-out over simple (and even complex) things. It is hard for me to wrap my mind around, but Jesus will take care of everything and I am wasting my time worrying. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard you hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

  • I can walk in confidence rooted in Jesus Christ not because of how I look, who I hang out with, what my grades are, or where I live. I walk in God-confidence because I trust in Jesus and I have faith that He alone can sustain me.

Even in your craziest and busiest moment, God might be sharing a small nugget of truth with you to carry you through the day. Those truths most certainly helped me today.

Phil. 4:6-7 are a couple of my favorite verses! They are so true; God is amazing at coming through for us! Praying for you in this crazy time. Love ya much! <3Kristi

I tried to e-mail you this note, but the e-mail was returned to me, so I thought I would just comment here.

Dear Emily,

This is Jessina from Bloom! magazine. I just wanted to write you a quick note to say how excited I was to see you in the last issue of Brio! What an accomplishment to be one of the top four Brio girls! From the article in Brio and your blog, I can see God is using you in amazing ways. May He continue to do so and may He be glorified above all. Keep up the good work!

Also, I noticed you live in Davie, Florida. I was born in Plantation, Florida and lived there until I was 4...and we had some very close friends who lived in Davie (although they no longer do). Davie is such a little town it seemed odd to see someone else from there! =)

Congratulations, again, Emily!

In awe of Him,
Jessina
