Just Enjoying the Ride...

I love road trips. Whenever my family goes on a road trip we pack a ton of junk food (chips, egg salad sandwiches, chocolate, etc.), movies, books, and country music. I just love the feeling of being on the open road and singing along to my favorite country songs like Our Song by Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatt's What Hurts the Most. I love enjoying the journey. Just like I enjoy a good old-fashioned road trip, God has been teaching me to love the road trip of life as well. He is taking me on a journey. Every day is a new chapter in my life and I can choose to either embrace the road I am on or look for the negatives. On a road trip, if you look for the negatives your trip won't be fun! If you just sit there and think, "Man, I just want to get there and get out of this cramped car!" then you wont enjoy the process. The same is true with our spiritual journey. Enjoy the process. Growing pains hurt, but when you really learn and grow from the process of beauty from pain, God rewards you immensely.

Sit back, relax, and allow God to drive you along the wide open roads of life today. You never know what He might teach you!

I know it messes up the hair, but driving with the "top down" is a great way to enjoy the ride! Why? Besides the warm sunshine on your face . . .there's nothin between you and God above . . .if you think about it, that's the best way to enjoy the ride of life - nothing between you and God ~ That is what Jesus did for us - he removed the sin that was between us and God . . .AWESOME!

Emily . . .I'm enjoying the ride with you . . .much love
